  • The Bills are the biggest favorites at 17 points at home against the Jets

The first-ever Week 18 will conclude the NFL’s regular season schedule and feature two games in which both teams are still trying to gain playoff spots.

The Los Angeles Chargers visit the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium next weekend. Both teams are 8-7 and the winner will be assured of a trip to the postseason.

With a 34-13 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, the Chargers snapped a two-game losing streak. The Raiders ran their winning streak to three games with a 23-20 road victory over the playoff-bound Indianapolis Colts.

The Baltimore Ravens (8-8) host the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-7-1) at M&T Bank Stadium. Whoever wins that game is not necessarily assured of a playoff berth, though.

Baltimore’s losing streak reached five games Sunday with a 20-19 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The Steelers have lost four of their last six games heading into Monday night’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Pittsburgh.

Bills Big Picks Over Jets

The Buffalo Bills are whopping 17-point favorites over the New York Jets, the biggest spread on the Week 18 board. Buffalo can win its second straight AFC East title with a win.

The Bills (10-6) beat visiting Atlanta Falcons 29-15 on Sunday to extend their winning streak to three games. Devin Singletary scored two rushing touchdowns in the second half to make up for Josh Allen being intercepted on three consecutive possessions.

Allen rushed for two touchdowns on the snow-dusted field.

The Jets (4-12) dropped a 28-24 heartbreaker to the Buccaneers at home when Tampa Bay drove 93 yards for the winning touchdown in the final minutes.

Tom Brady capped the march by throwing a 33-yard pass to Cyril Grayson with 15 seconds left. The Jets led 24-10 in the third quarter but lost for the fourth time in their last five games.

Chargers vs Raiders: Big Game, Small Spread

The Chargers are 1.5-point road favorites over the Raiders in the big showdown game in the desert. That is the smallest opening line of Week 18.

On Sunday, Justin Herbert threw two touchdown passes and Andre Roberts had a 101-yard kickoff return for a score for the Chargers in their rout of the Broncos.

Herbert now has 35 touchdown passes this season, which is a franchise record. Phillip Rivers had 34 in 2008.

Herbert completed 22 of 31 passes for 237 yards.

Daniel Carlson kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired to give the Raiders their win over the Colts.

The Raiders took over at their 25 after the Colts’ Michael Badgley kicked a tying 41-yard field goal. Derek Carr found Hunter Renfrow for 24 yards on third-and-10 in the final minute, setting the stage for Carlson’s third field goal of the game.

Carr passed for 255 yards and a touchdown and Zay Jones had eight receptions for 120 yards.

Movement on the Line?

The Washington Football Team has opened as a 6.5-point road favorite over the New York Giants.

The Giants are awful but also a betting favorite. Look for line to go down as fade money goes against the mediocre WFT.

In Minnesota, the Vikings are 3.5-point picks at home over the Chicago Bears. That line seems low considering the Bears aren’t very good despite back-to-back wins.

The Vikings’ quarterback situation is unsettled as Kirk Cousins sat out Sunday night’s game against the Packers in Green Bay while on the COVID-19 reserve list. Look for the line to go up, especially if Cousins is cleared to play.
